Outings and Events

Easter Egg Hunt
Tiny Treasures organises outings for the children every year. At Easter time we enjoy a trip on a coach and visit the home and grounds of the Tiny Treasures owners’ parents. The children hunt for Easter eggs and Easter bunny gift wrapped biscuits! Afterwards we feed the horses some carrots and apples that are there and then we all enjoy a well earned snack on the lawn.

Farm Trip
Every August we visit a farm and an itinerary is pre – arranged with the farm’s events co – ordinator and the children enjoy a soft play area, birds of prey shows, tractor and train rides and of course visiting and feeding small and large animals, anything from rabbits through to horses!

Christmas Time
Christmas time as we all know, it is a magical time for children which is why we ensure Father Christmas comes to visit us!

Father Christmas builds a beautiful under cover outdoor grotto at Tiny Treasures whilst the children are sleeping, sparkling with twinkle lights, tinsel and decorations! Each child visits Santa’s grotto and he has a gift for all the boys and girls! But this isn’t all! The children have a fabulous time with our party entertainer who puts on a magic show followed by music and a bubble and foam machine. The children then have a Christmas tea party to fill their tummies before visiting Santa!

Parent/Guardian day
Every three to four months we open the nursery on a Saturday and hold a parent/guardian day. We always provide a minimum of one months notice to advise parents/guardians of the date of the parent/guardian day along with the appointment times available. This allows parents/guardians the opportunity to have a little quality time with their child’s keyperson to discuss their child’s development and enables the parents/guardians to thoroughly look through their child’s Learning Journal (development and progress file). Refreshments are provided and parents/guardians so can stop for tea and biscuits and have a chat with other parents.

Fund raising events
Throughout the course of the year we hold fun days such as pyjama and fancy dress days. The children participate in baking activities to cook cakes and biscuits to sell and we carry out games and races in order to raise money for various charities. The parents/guardians become involved too as we provide guessing games and raffles, so much fun is had by everyone and for very good causes!
