(aged 1 – 2 years)
In the Tiddler room we care for nine children. The staff: child ratio is one staff member to every three children; therefore there are three members of staff and additional staff to help at meal times if required.
The children are encouraged to follow the nursery’s routine e.g. mealtimes and sleep times however this is flexible to suit each individual child’s needs and/or parent/guardian’s wishes.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the day is planned with fun and stimulating activities. These activities are adapted, if needed, in order to support the development of each individual child. We provide activities such as sand and water play, music and movement, cooking activities, story and song time, sensory play, garden play to mention just a few!
Each child has a ‘key person’ and this is a particular carer who will work closely with and care for your child in order to support both child and parent/guardian during the settling in period. The key person will also monitor your child’s development and keep you informed of their progress through out their time in the Tiddler room.
