(aged 3 months – 18 months)In the Pearls room we will ensure that we follow your baby’s existing routine and as this may change over time, we will help and support you and your baby’s needs. If you require help to establish a routine, both carer and parent/guardian can work together to support your baby. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the day is planned with fun and stimulating activities. These activities are adapted if needed in order to support the development of each individual child. We carry out activities such as water play, painting, sensory play, soft play, song time with puppets, garden play etc and this is to name just a few! Each little one has a ‘key person’ and this is a particular carer who will work closely and care for your child in order to support both child and parent/guardian during the settling in period. The key person will also monitor your child’s developmental progress and keep you informed of their progress throughout their time. The children are encouraged to follow the nursery’s routine e.g. mealtimes and sleep times however this is flexible to suit each individual child’s needs and/or parent/guardian’s wishes. |
