(aged 18 months – 2.5 years)In the Diamonds room we care for twelve children the children are encouraged to follow the nursery’s routine e.g. mealtimes and sleep times however this is flexible to suit each child’s need and/or parent/gu At this age it is quite typical for children to be practising potty training which we are able to guide and offer you and your child full support with this. We follow the EYFS and provide fun and stimulating activities to suit the age and stage of each individual child’s development. We provide activities such as planting, science activities and bug hunts for discovery, shape, letter, number and colour recognition activities and many more! In this room we also offer an extra curricular activity called ‘Fundamental Movement Skills’ which involves the introduction to tennis, football and many other physical games. Each child has a ‘key person’ who is a particular carer who will support you and your child during the settling in period. The key person will also help and monitor your child’s development and will keep you informed of their progress throughout their time in the Diamonds. |
